Sounds like a wonderful contraption. Yes, mechanical devices like this have problems, as we all know from the “hanging chads” of 2000, but I’d rather use one that a digital machine that can be hacked, crash, etc.
Richard, I wonder what will happen to these machines once we have a digital election smoother than the past one. I wonder if the city would let me have one. I could rent it out as it is the size of a New York bedroom.
